Live the Life You Want with Exceptional, Enhanced Living Services
Our new Enhanced Living Services are based on the “Small House” model. In each of the four Vista Terrace households, you will find 11-12 private residences nestled around elegant and inviting spaces shared among household neighbors. The intentional design of the households maximizes independence and choice -- all the amenities and opportunities you desire are just outside your door.
The environment and compassionate services provided empower you to live the life of your choosing –
- reading to grandchildren by the fireplace,
- Skyping with family across the country on the available computers,
- immersing yourself in a lecture by a local professor in the living room,
- eating meals at your leisure in your household's open kitchen and dining room,
- learning painting from an experienced artist in the sun room,
- enjoying the sunset from the outdoor patio ….
With these and many more options, how you choose to spend your day is up to you!
How Enhanced Living Differs From Assisted Living
You’ve been in charge of your schedule, your interests and your health for decades. Why should that stop when you need a bit of assistance with daily activities? Enhanced Living at Vista Terrace is a collaboration, and the result is a higher-quality, independent life with highly-personalized support.
Our Care Partners:
Assisted living facilities have aides that are task-oriented, stopping in at set scheduled times. Vista Terrace Care Partners are always available for support when members of the household desire. This support is not only for activities of daily living. The Care Partner is a member of the household; they partner with the residents to take full advantage of the abundance of living opportunities.
The Small House Design:
Most assisted living facilities are similar to large apartment buildings with long hallways and a separate area for activities and dining. Vista Terrace residences surround the household’s open living room, dining room and kitchen. Adjacent you’ll find a den, sun room and outdoor space. Simply step out of your apartment to enjoy the household amenities and the company of your neighbors. Click here or on the image at left to learn more about the "Small House" model.
Nurses in assisted living are highly restricted in the services they can provide. Our nurses can support residents with medication management including sliding scale readings for diabetics, giving insulin or B12 injections, performing dressing changes for small wounds and other basic nursing functions that are not allowed in assisted living facilities.
