Lincoln resident Robert Fallon was appointment president and CEO of North Hill Communities, the board of trustees announced. Fallon was selected following a national search to replace previous CEO Kevin Burke, who departed in June of this year. Fallon comes to North Hill from his post as executive director at Newbury Court Independent Living, a Deaconess Abundant Life Community in Concord.
Dozens of handmade quilts are made each year by manager Elaine Sullivan, resident and staff at North Hill Independent Living of Needham. Sullivan introduced the idea to North Hill in 2013 after a visit to a memory support community in Connecticut. There, residents and team members made quilts as burial shrouds for members of their community.
The Danforth Art exhibit at North Hill came about through Danforth’s longstanding relationship with Helen Meyrowitz, an artist who has shown her work at the museum several times and has lived at North Hill since 2002.
On Saturday, June 3, residents and staff from five local senior living communities joined forces with Olin College students and professionals in aging services for the LeadingAge MA Hackfest at North Hill in Needham, Massachusetts. The goal of Hackfest is to create a “technology-driven product or service aimed at improving the lives of older adults and their families.”
