Artist Sean Flood returns to North Hill with an exhibition of paintings and sketches
Sean Flood (1982) is originally from the south shore of Boston, Massachusetts and is currently based between Boston and New York City. Flood received his BFA from The Art Institute of Boston in 2005. Flood works between oil painting and an array of traditional printmaking processes while focusing on the ways the urban environment can be translated. Through the use of layering mediums and intersecting views, Flood combines not only the pictorial view of urban spaces but also the energy the space exudes. Flood is deeply influenced by instrumentals and interested in understanding sound as a way to interpret his mark making application. Flood has most recently received the Stobart Foundation Grant and will be pursuing a painting residency at School of Visual Arts (NY) and a printmaking residency at Lesley University in summer of 2018.
