Christoph Hoffmann’s involvement with North Hill began in 2011 when he was elected to the Board of Advisors. Mr. Hoffmann was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2012 and served as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees from 2015 through 2017. He currently serves on the Audit, Human Resources and Executive Committees, and is Chair of the Finance Committee.
Mr. Hoffmann retired from Raytheon Company as Executive Vice President, Law and Corporate Administration. He began his career practicing corporate, finance and international law at Bingham, Dana and Gould and moved on to executive positions at Textron, Inc., Pneumo Corporation and Raytheon. These companies covered a broad range of industries, domestically and internationally, and Mr. Hoffmann was responsible for a variety of staff and operational functions. At Raytheon, he concluded his service with leadership responsibilities for competitive restructuring and repositioning the firm in the consolidating aerospace/defense industry.
Mr. Hoffmann currently serves on the Board of Directors of One Medical Passport, Inc., a medical services software company in the patient portal and patient engagement space, and of Red Lodge Ales, a regional craft brewing company in Montana founded by his son.
Mr. Hoffmann has been active on the boards of other non-profit organizations, including Rhode Island Citizens Conservation Corporation and Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital – Needham, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for four years and currently is an Advisor and member of the Finance Committee.
Mr. Hoffmann grew up in Germany, where he studied at the Freie Universität in Berlin and continued his studies at the University of Wisconsin at Madison, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree and finished at Harvard Law School with a JD degree.
