Dr. Prather Palmer has been a North Hill Trustee since 2013. He is a member of the HCBS and Marketing Committee and is currently Chair of the Health Care Committee.
After post-graduate training, Dr. Palmer’s medical career began with the US Army Medical Corps where he served as a Battalion Medical Officer and Head Brigade Medical Officer. Dr. Palmer was affiliated with Lahey Clinic Medical Center from 1976 through 2006 specializing in Behavior Neurology, Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease and General Neurology. He has also published a number of articles relating to Alzheimer’s Disease, Dementia, Parkinson’s Disease, Transient Environmental Amnesia, and is co-author of a full section on Movement Disorders in a textbook of Neurology.
Dr. Palmer was also an Instructor in Neurology at Boston Medical School and Sergeant College.
Dr. Palmer served on the Board of Governors for Brooks Hospital, Lahey Medical Center and for Nashaquisset on Nantucket. In addition, he was a Board Member and President of the Massachusetts Neurological Association, served on the board of the Windsor Club and has also served as a committee member for Wellesley Country Club and Wellesley Congregational Church.
Dr. Palmer is an alumnus of Dartmouth College and attended Washington University’s Medical School Program.
