Embark on a mesmerizing journey with Portrait In Jazz, a band that effortlessly weaves together the essence of Jazz’s Golden Era with their own unique touch of creative innovation. They are a dynamic, original jazz band with over fifty originals in their book and literally hundreds of jazz standards in their repertoire. Portrait In Jazz is committed to creating exciting and meaningful music that takes the listener on an emotional odyssey filled with surprises and delights.
Featuring Gary Bohan: trumpet/flugelhorn/composer, Chris Hildebrand: woodwinds, Bob Abruzese: bass, Grant Smith: drums, Brad Ellenberg: guitar/composer and featuring Deirdre Petersen: vocals
Collectively, the members of this group have performed widely throughout the US and internationally including Europe, Russia and Australia. Their talent has graced stages such as Carnegie Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Jordan Hall, The Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, The Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall, Symphony Hall, among others.
