Steven Fischer

Steve Fischer is the former Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Beth Israel Lahey Health, a ten-hospital system in Eastern Massachusetts with annual revenue of more than $6 billion.

Steve spent more than forty years in healthcare finance in Massachusetts, including more than thirty-five years as a chief financial officer. Prior toBILH, Steve was the CFO of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and of its multi-hospital system. Previous to BIDMC, Steve was the CFO of the Caritas Christi system, of Holy Family Hospital in Methuen, and of Milton Hospital. Steve started his healthcare career at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston.

Steve earned a bachelor’s degree at Boston College and has a Masters in Accounting from Bentley University. Steve and his wife Peggie reside in Weston and have two grown children in the Boston area.
