Amy Reich Weil became a North Hill Advisor in 2017 and was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2018. She serves on the Building & Grounds and Human Resources Committees and is currently Chair of the Marketing Committee.
Ms. Reich Weil is Founder and Partner at Kertzman & Weil, LLP, a practice focused on real estate law including buying, selling and financing residential properties, condominium conversions and land conservation. Ms. Reich Weil serves on the Adjunct Faculty at Babson College for the Department of Accounting and Law.
Ms. Reich Weil also serves as a Board Member for Hope and Comfort, Inc., and Vice Chair, Board of Overseers, Babson College. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar Association and Real Estate Bar Association.
Ms. Reich Weil earned her JD from Suffolk Law School and her Bachelor of Science Degree from Babson College.
Edwin Reilly was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2013, and currently serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees. He also serves as Chair to the HCBS Committee, and serves on the Finance, Health Care, Investment, Marketing, and Executive Committees.
Mr. Reilly was Chief Executive Officer and Chairman at Aquamer Medical Corporation, a development stage company with interests in vertical farming in the urban environment. Other career leadership positions included serving in the role of Chief Executive Officer at Andover Medical, Bellacasa Productions Inc., dba Quamer Inc., OrthoRehab Inc., and Med Diversified, Inc. Mr. Reilly also served in the role of Vice President, Human Resources for Ares-Serono Group and Revlon Health Care Group.
Mr. Reilly also serves on the board for Winterplace at Okeomo Condominium Association Inc.
Mr. Reilly received his MBA from New York University and his BS from Fordham University.
Howard Rubin has served on the Board of Advisors since 2015. He also is a member of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Rubin serves as Managing Member and the Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Midwood Capital. Mr. Rubin is primarily responsible for all of the non-investment activities of the Investment Manager including fund accounting, client service and marketing and compliance. Prior to joining Midwood Capital in early 2012, Mr. Rubin was the Managing Member and Chief Operating Officer of Tara Hill Capital Management LP, a Boston-based US long/short equity hedge fund firm he helped form in 2009.
Mr. Rubin was previously the Senior Managing Partner of Boldwater Capital Management, a $300 million long/short hedge fund organization based in Boston. Before forming Boldwater in 2001, Mr. Rubin spent 17 years and was a Director and member of the Executive Committee at Standish, Ayer & Wood, Inc. (now Standish Mellon Asset Management), an investment firm with approximately $41 billion in assets under management as of July 2001.
Mr. Rubin has served on the Board of Trustees of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center since 2000, where he is a member of the Finance Committee and was member of the Overseer Nominating Committees for many years. He previously served as a Trustee of Hebrew College (2007-2013) where he chaired the Finance Committee from 2007 to 2011. He also serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Advisors of The George Washington University School of Business (since 1997) and previously was a member of the Parents Campaign Philanthropy Board for a decade. He is the incoming Chair and Board Member of the Budget and Administration Committee of the Combined Jewish Philanthropies where he previously served as Co-Chair of the Major Gifts Committee. He was an original member of Congregation Or Atid of Wayland, where he previously served as President, Chair of the Finance Committee, Board Member and Co-Chair of the Building Committee (with Michael Tichnor and Steven Lebovitz).
Mr. Rubin received an MBA from Harvard Business School and holds a BBA in Finance and Accounting from The George Washington University. Mr. Rubin is a member of the CFA Institute and the Boston Security Analysts Society.
Ronald Ruth was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2016. Mr. Ruth’s involvement with North Hill began in 2015 as a member of the Board of Advisors. During his tenure, Mr. Ruth served as Chair of the Marketing Committee. He is currently a member of the Building & Grounds, Marketing, and Executive Committees and also serves as Chair to the Human Resources Committee.
Mr. Ruth is a Partner of Sherin and Lodgen LLP, in Boston, has practiced land use, real estate and environmental law since 1980. He concentrates his practice in Brownfields, hazardous material and land use law relating to commercial real estate development, acquisition and shopping center leasing (including compliance with federal, state and local laws, due diligence, negotiation of environmental agreements, including Covenants Not To Sue). He is a LEED Accredited Professional. He formerly was Managing Partner of Sherin and Lodgen LLP from 2008 to 2015.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ruth practiced at the Boston firm of Ropes and Gray LLP and was Legal Counsel to the Massachusetts Department of Fisheries, Wildlife and Environmental Law Enforcement. After graduation from law school, he was a law clerk to Chief Justice Alan Hale of the Massachusetts Appeals Court.
Mr. Ruth has served on the boards of other non-profit organizations that include Northeastern University School of Law Alumni Association (currently President) since 2012, the Town of Needham Planning Board from 2008 to 2013, Town of Needham Community Preservation Committee from 2005-2007, Town of Needham Finance Committee from 1999-2003, and Glover Hospital Enterprise Fund Committee from 1994-2000.
Mr. Ruth has been a member of the Steering Committee of the Environmental Law Section of the Boston Bar Association and several land use and environmental advisory committees for state and local agencies.
Mr. Ruth is a graduate of Allegheny College, and Northeastern University School of Law (1980). He is a frequent lecturer on Brownfield and environmental topics to industry groups and in continuing legal education programs.
Tina Vasconcelles was elected to the Board of Trustees in 2016, and to the position of Chair in September 2018. Ms. Vasconcelles’ involvement with North Hill began in 2015 as a member of the Board of Advisors. During her tenure, Ms. Vasconcelles served as Chair of the Human Resources and Investment Committees.
Ms. Vasconcelles is a retired international investment professional. She was a Portfolio Manager and Partner at Oechsle International Advisors for over fifteen years overseeing a portfolio of over $3 billion in international equities.
Ms. Vasconcelles has continued to stay engaged in her community in leadership positions in many organizations in Wellesley. She was President of the Wellesley Service League and currently sits on the Executive Board as Sustainer Co-Chair. She also is a member of the Long-Range Planning Committee at the Wellesley Country Club and is the Treasurer of the Wellesley Chapter of AFS, the intercultural exchange student program. She is also a committed volunteer of Relay for Life, the major fundraiser for the American Cancer Society, which takes place in Needham every May.
Ms. Vasconcelles has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University with a double major in Economics and Psychology. Ms. Vasconcelles was a full scholarship tennis player at Northwestern University. She also has a MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, where she majored in Finance.
