State of the Art-Fitness
It doesn’t matter how you like to move, it only matters that you do! In North Hill’s fitness center we have programs and people who will make you want to come back every day, why? Because you’ll know when you leave you’ll feel better than you did when you arrived!
Trained fitness experts will design a personalized program just for you. Choose from programs for mind and body that include yoga, aquatic exercises and games; Pilates; Zumba; meditation; walking; lectures on nutrition and wellness, and a “passion board,” where residents can engage with healthy activities that ignite their personal passions. You can even “Paws for Fitness” and give your four-legged friends a good workout too!
And..as the only CCRC in the area with groundbreaking HUR* equipment, you can be sure to maintain muscle mass and good balance as part of a healthy aging plan.
*Helsinki University Research equipment is designed especially for older joints, using air compression instead of weights for resistance. Computer memory personalizes programs eliminating the need to re-set weights when using the equipment.
All of our programs are designed to ensure a good mind-body connection, and a healthy, active lifestyle.
*Helsinki Unviersiry Research (HUR) equipment was designed especially for seniors who want to stay strong as they age. After an initial assessment of balance deficits, trainers can customize programs using the embedded software in the machines. Residents can then simply insert their smart-card when it’s time to work out. The unique air resistant technology eliminates pressure on joints and allows for smooth, uninterrupted movement in weight training.
