North Hill prioritizes the health and safety of its residents and team members, and extends this concern to members of the community at large. At this time, there are no reported cases of COVID-19 in the community, and we are taking every precaution to prevent the virus from entering our buildings.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have recommended a variety of steps that we are implementing to help reduce the potential for the virus to enter our buildings. Effective March 13, 2020, the following steps are in effect to protect residents, and prevent any possible spread through the community:
VISITORS TO PINES EDGE SKILLED NURSING FACILTIY: To preserve the health and safety of our residents in skilled nursing, we have placed a necessary ban on all visitation to Pines Edge. Loved ones who are visiting relatives at end-of-life are excepted from this ban. We regret the necessity of this prohibition, but have implemented it in adherance to all the guidelines and requirements issued by the CDC and the Massachusetts Board of Health. We understand how difficult it is to be separated from love ones at this time and suggest texting, emailing, Facetime and telephone calls. We are here to help facilitate these remote forms of communication for anyone who needs assistance.
VISITORS TO NORTH HILL: For the time being, and in the interest of our residents’ safety we discourage unnecessary visitation to North Hill. Below are the steps we are taking to protect residents and to mitigate the spread of the virus.
Please enter North Hill through the Grand Lobby only. The Concierge Lobby is closed pending further assessment.
When you arrive at the Grand Lobby, please sign the visitor log, and complete the questionnaire that we will present to you. This includes private companions.
Visitation to North Hill is restricted to the hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm to ensure proper staffing within the community. Thank you for your understanding.
VIsitors who have traveled out of the country to hot spots; or to areas in the United States with a high concentration of the virus; or who exhibit symptoms of COVID-19 (cough, fever, runny nose, sore throat and shortness of breath) may not enter the building.
We request that you limit the number of visitors to any one resident to 2 per visit. To ensure proper staffing, visitation is permitted between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm.
Please remember that all visitors are restricted from Pines Edge. Visitors to VIsta Terrace may enter through the Pines Edge lobby to be screened.
Team Members at North Hill: We continue to monitor all Team Members who enter the campus and have taken precautions to protect them, and to prevent transmission of the virus.
Please be assured that our community is in close, regular contact with local and state health departments, and we continue to follow their guidance. We are posting signs on our entryway doors to notify visitors of these precautions.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time. Please do all that you can to keep yourself safe and healthy.
