Francis Nemia
Francis Nemia was elected to the Board of Advisors in 2019. Mr. Nemia has provided IT and Financial enterprise risk management and assurance services throughout his career. His areas of focus have included IT operations, IT and Financial transformation, financial process assessment, cyber security, change management and quality control.
Mr. Nemia presently serves as Principal for Clifton Larsen Allen (CLA) where he is responsible for the operations of the National IT and Cyber Security practice.
He retired from Ernst & Young LLC after a 28-year tenure with the firm. As a Market Leader and Partner, Mr. Nemia developed, launched, and oversaw a number of Risk & Technology Advisory practices throughout the Northeast. He also co-led the EY Cyber Security National practice.
His client experience spans a number of industries, including healthcare providers, gaming, hospitality, software and technology, financial services and manufacturing.
Mr. Nemia has served on the boards of other non-profit organizations, including the Wellesley Historical Society, Urban League for Greater Hartford, The Loyola School in NYC and The CT Sports Foundation Against Cancer. He presently serves on the 160 EAST 27th Street Owners Corporation board.
Mr. Nemia has given speaking engagements on cyber security, IT risk management and data analytics. He is an Adjunct Faculty member at Boston College where he teaches Accounting Information Systems. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and a member of the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
Mr. Nemia has a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Boston College and holds an MBA from Fordham University Gabelli School of Business. He has completed Ernst & Young’s Partner Executive Program at Northwestern University, Kellogg School of Management, and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and Certified in Risk and Systems Controls (CRISC).
