Joe Frias, President and Chief Executive Officer

Joe Frias joined North Hill in 2017 as Administrator of Pines Edge Health Center, with growth into the role of Director of Healthcare in 2019, Executive Director in 2021, and President and CEO in 2023. As President and CEO, he sets and executes the vision and strategic direction of North Hill Communities, Inc. and its subsidiaries. Prior to joining North Hill, Joe served as the Executive Director of multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities and led the turnaround of several underperforming health centers. He began his work career as a dishwasher and dietary aide in a hospital, later becoming a geriatric fitness trainer, a dining services director, and a healthcare administrator. He currently serves as Chair-Elect of the Board of Directors of LeadingAge Massachusetts, on the Board of Advisors of Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Needham and on the Board of Directors of the Charles River Regional Chamber, representing the communities of Needham, Newton, Wellesley, and Watertown. Other civic service experience includes various town rotary clubs and chamber of commerce officer roles. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics from Framingham State University, a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Healthcare Administration and Management from Salve Regina University. He is a licensed Nursing Home Administrator and holds several certifications in Lean Six Sigma.
