For Art’s Sake, Egon Schiele

Egon Schiele (1890-1918) was an Austrian expressionist painter whose very short life didn’t inhibit his prodigious talent.  He created the painting below, House with Laundry Hanging in 1917.  A print of the painting can be seen on the 4th Floor of North Hill’s G wing.  The original sold at Sotheby’s England for $40miilion in 2011.
