Sarah Creed


Sarah Creed was elected to the Board of Advisors in 2018. Ms. Creed also served on the professional advisory committee for Home Health at North Hill from 2015-2018. She is the Director of Nursing at Good Shepherd Community Hospice. She oversees the nursing department at the hospice, and is involved in clinical operations and developing policy and procedure as it relates to patient care. Ms. Creed Schmidt has been working with Good Shepherd for over six years.

Ms. Creed Schmidt began her healthcare career as a Personal Care Assistant at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. After graduating from nursing school, Ms. Creed Schmidt obtained a position as Clinical Nurse at the same hospital. During her tenure, she worked in several areas including interventional cardiology, trauma intensive care, thoracic surgery and solid organ transplant and medicine. Feeling a need to incorporate a more holistic approach in her practice and have more time at the bedside, Ms. Creed Schmidt pursued a role as a hospice nurse. She has been working in hospice for nine years.

In addition to her passion for end-of-life care, Ms. Creed Schmidt is also an advocate for quality women’s health. She volunteers at a women’s health organization in her spare time. Ms. Creed Schmidt has worked with Promising Pals as a pen pal to a middle school student in Roxbury for the past two years. Ms. Creed Schmidt also volunteers at Simmons College, providing mock interviews and serving on health care informative panels.
Ms. Creed Schmidt has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Simmons College.
